Webinar Series: Fighting Fraud and Corruption in Public Finance: Building Vigilance and Ethical Compliance

September 5, 2025 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

As African governments deepen fiscal reforms and embrace digital public financial management, the persistent challenge of fraud and corruption continues to undermine accountability, weaken trust, and divert resources from national development priorities. This AAAG webinar will spotlight the urgent need to build vigilance and strengthen ethical compliance in public finance as a safeguard for fiscal integrity and sustainable growth.

Through expert insights and country experiences, the session will explore how governments can establish robust anti-fraud mechanisms, foster a culture of integrity, and equip institutions to detect, prevent, and respond to corruption risks in financial management systems.

Participants will gain insights into institutional reforms, digital enablers, and leadership practices that enhance transparency, strengthen accountability, and reinforce the ethical foundations of public finance. The session will also highlight the pivotal role of Accountants General in championing zero tolerance for corruption and embedding ethical compliance in the DNA of PFM systems across Africa.
