AAAG Webinar Series | Strategic Risk Management – Establishing true cost of public assets through strategic risk assessment of Government commitments, contracts, and credit in complex projects.

As governments undertake increasingly complex and high‐value projects, the Cost of Risk though not always visible on traditional ledgers and not a distinct budget line, can represent a substantial expenditure. It manifests through risk premiums added by banks, contractors, and suppliers especially in large, long-term projects reliant on government commitments. This webinar will explore how risk premiums, supplier practices, and government obligations drive these hidden costs, and how robust risk management practices can enhance resource allocation, transparency, and public value. Participants will gain practical insights into quantifying risk costs, integrating risk considerations into capital and operating budgets, and employing strategies to mitigate risk in both routine services and large infrastructure projects.
