The African Association of Accountants General (AAAG) is pleased to announce the official admission of the Republic of Cameroon and Republic of Liberia as its newest member countries.
Both countries formally submitted their membership applications earlier this year: Liberia in February and Cameroon in March 2025. Their admission was officially approved during the 2025 Annual General Meeting, held on July 28, 2025, in Accra, Ghana.
In line with AAAG Constitution and By-Laws, both Liberia and Cameroon submitted completed and valid applications, endorsed the Association’s constitution and By-Laws, demonstrated a firm commitment to the Association’s Mission and met all administrative and technical requirements – paving the way to their admission as members.
Cameroon and Liberia bring the total number of AAAG Membership to 22 countries, across the five regions of Africa (East, West, Centre, North and South). Their admission not only strengthens regional representation but also enhances the Association’s collective capacity to strengthen public financial management (PFM) systems and advance strategic PFM reforms across the continent.
